ABOUT FACE SURGERY
Face surgery includes a range of surgical procedures performed on the face, designed to improve the appearance of either a specific facial feature, or else improve the appearance of the face as a whole. The surgery can be performed as reconstructive or cosmetic surgery.
Cosmetic surgery procedures performed on the face include brow lift, eye bag removal, neck lift, rhinoplasty, dermal fillers, otoplasty, cheek augmentation, hair restoration, and facelift surgery.
Facial surgery can help patients with facial features or facial shape that they are dissatisfied with. Surgery may be recommended for patients who need to undergo reconstructive surgery on the face.
Reconstructive surgery performed on the face include scar treatment, ear reconstruction, nose reconstruction, and facial trauma surgery.

HOW TO FIND QUALITY TREATMENT ABROAD
BEFORE FACE SURGERY ABROAD
Patients will have a consultation with the surgeon to discuss their goals and treatment options.
The patient is usually advised to refrain from smoking for 2 weeks before and after surgery, as this can delay the healing process. They may also be advised to refrain from taking certain medications such as aspirin.
HOW IS IT PERFORMED
Facial surgery procedures can range from minimally invasive to open surgeries such as facelifts or rhinoplasty, where the skin is lifted and repositioned.
For cosmetic facial surgery, the surgery usually requires making an incision into the area being treated, removing or repositioning tissue and then suturing the incision site once this is complete.
For reconstructive facial surgery, the surgery usually involves reconstructing an area of the face which has a defect or has suffered a trauma. This may involve taking a tissue or skin from another area of the body to reconstruct the desired area with.
Anesthesia
For major surgeries, a general anesthetic is administered. Some smaller procedures can be performed with local anesthetic.
Possible discomfort
Patients undergoing surgical procedures should expect swelling and discomfort for several days following their procedure.
