ABOUT EYE BAG REMOVAL
Eye bag removal treatment aims to reduce puffiness, dark circles and hanging skin below the eye. Treatment can be performed using injectable dermal fillers or with lower eyelid surgery, also referred to as lower blepharoplasty.
Injectable dermal fillers can be used to reduce the appearance of eye bags. Many patients may choose this type of treatment as it is non-surgical, however the results may not last as long as with surgical alternatives in which excess skin is permanently removed.
If undergoing lower eyelid surgery, the procedure involves making a small incision in beneath the lower eyelid and removing any excess skin and/or fat from the area.

HOW TO FIND QUALITY TREATMENT ABROAD
BEFORE EYE BAG REMOVAL ABROAD
Before deciding on a treatment, patients may want to arrange a consultation and discuss the best treatment option for their desired outcome. Many clinics on Intclinics offer free consultations, and others charge a small fee.
Many clinics offer eyelid surgery using only local anesthetic, meaning the patient is awake throughout but doesn’t feel pain. Some clinics offer the surgery with local anesthetic or with general anesthetic. General anesthetic will cost a little more.
If receiving general anesthetic, patients will usually be asked to refrain from eating and drinking for several hours before the surgery.
HOW IS IT PERFORMED
If undergoing dermal filler injections, the area being treated is cleaned and the needle is placed around the eye area and the fillers are injected.
Lower eyelid surgery involves an incision being made in the lower eyelash line, or on the inside of the lower lid, in order to avoid noticeable scarring. This incision is referred to as a transconjunctival incision. Through the incision, fat can be either removed or added, depending on the desired result, and the incision is then closed.
Anesthesia
Local or general anesthetic.
Procedure duration
The Eye Bag Removal takes 90 to 120 minutes.
