HOW TO FIND QUALITY TREATMENT ABROAD
BEFORE ACNE SCAR TREATMENT ABROAD
Patients should discuss the treatment options with the dermatologist to establish a treatment plan and determine which option is most suited to their condition and goals.
HOW IS IT PERFORMED
There are a number of available acne scar treatment options. A chemical peel is used to improve the texture of skin and treat acne scars by applying a chemical solution to the affected area, which removes the dead skin. When the skin grows back and heals, it is smoother.
Dermabrasion treatment is the surgical sanding of the outer layer of skin on acne scars, by using an abrasive device. Once the wounds heal and skin grows back, it is smoother and more even.
Microdermabrasion treatment is a less invasive procedure which involves the non-surgical removal of the top layers of skin by using exfoliating crystals to remove dead skin. This method is not as effective on deep scars as other methods.
Laser/light therapy may also be performed and involves the use of an intense beam of light to treat acne scarring, without damaging surrounding tissue.
Anesthesia
Usually none.
Procedure duration
The Acne Scar Treatment takes 30 to 90 minutes.
