HOW TO FIND QUALITY TREATMENT ABROAD
BEFORE CHIN AUGMENTATION ABROAD
Before the surgery, the patient should consult with the doctor about the potential approaches to surgery, including, if appropriate, the shape and size of the implant.
Additionally, the surgeon will give the patient a list of guidelines for the days leading up to surgery, which usually advises abstaining from smoking, drinking and taking aspirin. The patient should arrange for someone to take them home after the surgery.
HOW IS IT PERFORMED
The doctor will make an incision either below the chin, in the natural crease in the chin, or in the inside of the mouth. Via this incision, the surgeon will place the implant or adjust the chin bone, before suturing the site.
Anesthesia
Local, or local with sedation.
Procedure duration
The Chin Augmentation takes 1 to 2 hours.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER CHIN AUGMENTATION
Post procedure care
After the surgery, a dressing will be applied to the wound and this will be removed 2-3 days later by the surgeon. Patients may find chewing to be painful and difficult, therefore may be advised to have only liquids and soft foods for the first few days after the procedure.
