ABOUT TOOTH SEALANT

Dental sealant, also called fissure sealant, is a thin layer of plastic usually applied to the grooves of the back teeth where chewing takes place. This is a preventive treatment which reduces the chances of developing cavities.

Once the sealant is applied, it is difficult for food to get stuck in the pits of the teeth, causing tooth decay. Sealants are commonly applied to the teeth of children to prevent cavities. The price quoted by the clinic is often per tooth.

  • Teeth with enamel defects (preventing the teeth from protecting themselves),

TIME REQUIREMENTS
