BEFORE DENTISTRY CONSULTATION ABROAD

Before the meeting, it is important to think carefully about how you want to approach your problem, your budget and other health considerations. Having a clear idea of what you want ahead of the meeting will help to prevent confusion during the later stages of treatment.

HOW IS IT PERFORMED

The dentist should be able to offer a number of treatment plans for the problem, and the patient should feel free to ask about the dentist’s previous success in this area, and for case study evidence (usually pictures) of previous patients that have undergone the same treatment. Pricing options should also be discussed. The dentist may perform a routine checkup during the consultation.

Procedure duration

The Dentistry Consultation takes 30 to 45 minutes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Some clinics will offer free consultations with a treatment, meaning if you go to the consultation and then choose to receive the full treatment there, the clinic will deduct the price of the consultation from the price of the treatment. However, if you don’t choose to receive treatment after the consultation the clinic may charge a fee. You should make sure there is a clear understanding about the cost of the consultation before booking the appointment.

At a consultation, the dentist will examine your teeth and entire mouth and discuss with you your treatment options, the potential benefits and risks of each one, and advise what they recommend for you.

The consultation is extremely important because during this time, the professional gets a clear understanding of your problem and treatment goals. This will help them make sure you will be satisfied with their work at the end. You should bring all relevant medical records with you to the consultation.

During the consultation, you should ask about the professional’s experience in treating cases like yours, what kind of technology they will be using in your treatment, before and after photos (if applicable, but especially for aesthetic treatments), and what kind of follow-up care they can provide you with. It may help beforehand to make a list of all of your questions and bring it with you to the consultation.

Depending on the specific case, the consultation time will vary. There is no way to estimate how long it will take to get through all of your questions and the information the professional needs, but it is important that everything is covered thoroughly.
